Gene and Jay Potchana opened Royal Thai in July of 1992 for many reasons, but mostly their mutual love of authentic Thai food. Jay used many of his mother's recipes and fused them with other culinary instincts from the streets of Thailand. This led Royal Thai to become a neighborhood favorite in Dallas Texas, at a time when Thai food was relatively unknown.

We invite you to sit back and relax in our casually elegant dinning room to sample her cuisine known for its rich, exotic and distinctive flavors. Even though Thai cuisine is known for its enthusiastic use of fresh herbs and spices, those who have less-adventuresome taste buds will not be left out. All of our offerings can be prepared to your individual tastes while still maintaining authenticity.
