Barry's Café opened on May the 19th, 1992 with only 50 seats in the Swift Creek Shopping Center of Cary, NC. The owner Barry Doyle had only a couple things in mind and those were to provide the community with a family restaurant that people would think of as their second home, not to overcook the burgers. Barry’s desire was to provide the community with a homemade breakfast and great hamburgers and hot fries. The restaurant's mission was to make each person happier than when they first came in the door.
The Great Lakes Brewing Company features a full menu of appetizers, entrees and grilled items. The juicy burgers are a favorite. Several vegetarian entrees are also available.
The brewhouse has two bars, The Taproom and Rathskeller. They also have an indoor/outdoor beer garden.

Whiz Burger serves burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and specials. Side orders include fries, onion rings and chili. Chocolate, Vanilla, Mango, Strawberry and Espresso ice cream is available for shakes and floats.

Home of the Irish Egg Roll and the Irish Car Bomb Brownie! We have fabulous down-to-earth tavern fare from complete dinners to really good sandwiches, soups, appetizers and desserts (see menu). Most of our menu items are home made. Our Salad Creations section offers five basic salads and 15 unique toppings ranging from the traditional to very unusual (a fried egg!).
