A gyro is a wonderful Greek creation. The best versions are mixtures of ground beef and lamb that is seasoned with Greek spices, then pressed together and slowly cooked on revolving vertical spits. The spits allow the fat to drain off, and as the meat turns and cooks slowly, it develops a highly prized cooked crust which expert gyro makers slice off with a long knife. Once the slices are ready, they're piled into a warmed pita and topped with onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce.

Welcome to Edwards Drive-In, home of the legendary handmade pork tenderloin, hand-dipped onion rings and homemade root beer. Edwards originally opened as a Dog'n Suds drive-in on August 10, 1957 and was owned and managed by Herb Edwards and his son Tom, which was later passed down to Tom's son and daughter, Jeff and Terri.
