TK Burgers started in Newport Beach in 1986. The original store is still there located in McFadden Square (Newport Beach). Joe Kaplan at Joe’s Garage has recreated the all-American burger by using pork. The Asian pork burger includes garlic, ginger, soy sauce, garlic chili paste and fresh mint. Toppings consist of roasted red pepper sauce and Japanese coleslaw.

Joe's menu also includes pastas and risottos with “build-your-own” toppings such as grilled chicken, salmon or shrimp; and daily specials such as “a grilled grouper over basmati rice, topped with grilled eggplant and a lively red and yellow pepper salsa.
