Java Beach is an independent, mom ‘n pop shop co-owned by San Franciscan husband and wife team, Patrick and Buffy Maguire. Forever a work-in-progress, Java Beach represents their love and life work. Their days are devoted to making Java Beach the best it can be. This process starts with the coffee, where they engage in meticulous standards of sourcing, cupping and roasting. They apply these high standards to every aspect at Java Beach.

At Calavera we do two things, empanadas and tequila! Calavera opened in September of 2011 by partners Ken Yowell and Lily Ballance. What was once "the little empanada place on the corner" has become one of downtown Raleigh's must stop spots. Choose from 11 varieties of empanadas and up to 40 tequilas—30 on the menu, plus whatever exotics we have in that week. We take pride in using the freshest ingredients in not only our food, but our cocktails as well.

The Wild Flower was created in 1995 by owner, Tracy Czarnec. Her vision was to bring together American gourmet dining with a casual atmosphere. The decision to open in the Central West End seemed natural. A trendy area with a cosmopolitan feel, the West End turned out to be the perfect place for the Wild Flower and diners looking for more than just another restaurant.
