Thomas Keller opened The French Laundry in 1994. The restaurant remains the premier fine-dining
destination in Napa Valley, offering French cuisine.
The menu at The French Laundry changes daily. In addition to the regular menu, guests can enjoy one of two unique nine-course tasting menus. Examples of items served are, “lamelles” of charred hokkaido sea scallop; “confit de coeur de veau,” and fresh ricotta and cherry “sfogliatelle.”
The French Laundry has received numerous awards for its outstanding cuisine and service, including the AAA’s Five Diamond Award in 2007, the Mobil Travel Guide’s Five Star Award in 2007, the 2006 Academie Internationale de la Gastronomie De L' de la Cuisine’s Grand Prix Award, and the art James Beard Foundation’s 2006 Outstanding Restaurant Award.
