This restaurant has been serving East Sac since 1931. Originally Doc’s Place “The Root Beer King” where you could get a Hot Dog for a nickel it was home to one of the first Drive-In’s and then to the first Drive Through.

The Shack is still your source for great beer. We have over 100 beers in bottles and on draft. Sacramento Magazine voted us “the best place to drink a Belgian Ale.”
