For more than 18 years, Chile Verde has been dedicated to bringing the flavor of New Mexico to Central Ohio. The cuisine of New Mexico is a blending of three cultures: Spanish, Anglo, and Native American. It tends to be spicier and more flavorful than Mexican cuisine, with the green chile (the translation for Chile Verde!) being the defining ingredient. The heavier use of cilantro and the relaxed use of cumin are also characteristics of New Mexican cuisine.

La Palapa Restaurant began in the city of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico in 1971, using long-held family recipes. We came to Austin in 1984, and evolved a lot from our humble origins. But be assured, we still use the tried and true family recipes.
