2010 marks our eightieth anniversary and makes us the second oldest Restaurant in Utah. Unfortunately, Ruth didn't live to see it. She passed away in November of 1989 at the age of 94.

Executive Chef Paul Kahan and Chef de Cuisine Brian Huston crafted an eclectic menu inspired by simple farmhouse fare in a space evocative of a European beer hall.

Featuring pork and fish/seafood preparations, the menu is best described by Kahan and Huston as “pristine product, simply prepared,” an approach to food Kahan has long espoused in all of his kitchens.

CASA MONO features raciones of Catalan specialties and serves dishes from all corners of the Iberian Peninsula. Executive Chef Andy Nusser, who lived in the fishing village of Cadaqués, along Spain's Costa Brava, has taken classic dishes and added his own affinity for adventurous proteins like sweetbreads, cockscombs, and pig's feet. Daring and exploratory, inventive and robust, Nusser's dishes are a tribute to his adoptive cuisine. Golden, crispy Bacalao Croquetas served with dabs of Orange Alioli are divine, memorable, perfect.
